Software Engineer II (Golang)
Kaseya is seeking a Software Engineer II with expertise in Golang to join our dynamic team in Kraków, Poland. As a key member of our development team, you will contribute to building our next-generation backup product, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions. Kaseya is a leading provider of IT infrastructure and security management solutions, serving customers in over 20 countries and managing over 15 million endpoints worldwide.
In this role, you will take full ownership of backend feature development using Golang, from design through deployment and support. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include designing, building, and maintaining secure, scalable, and performant microservices and APIs. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams using Agile/Scrum methodology to refine requirements, estimate effort, and deliver value incrementally. Additionally, you will resolve reported defects efficiently while delivering features that delight users and drive and uphold best practices in code quality, security, performance, and maintainability.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, with 3-5 years of experience in backend development using languages such as C#, C, C++, or Java. A minimum of 1-2 years of professional experience with Golang is required. Strong understanding of SQL databases, preferably MySQL, including query optimization and performance tuning, is essential. Hands-on experience with Docker, Git, Kubernetes, and virtualization technologies like OpenStack is also required. Experience building cloud-native applications on platforms like AWS, exposure to GraphQL, RESTful API design, and service-oriented architecture, as well as knowledge of observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or OpenTelemetry, are considered advantageous.
