The Software Engineer in Quality, Automation & AI at inKind plays a critical role in ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of applications that enhance dining experiences for restaurant partners and their guests. Embedded within a cross-functional product pod, this role involves owning quality for a specific area of the platform, collaborating closely with product and engineering teams to build high-quality systems.

Key responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining scalable automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API testing. The engineer will implement automated suites integrated into CI/CD pipelines, conduct hands-on functional, regression, and exploratory testing, and leverage AI-powered testing tools to enhance coverage and efficiency. Additionally, the role involves identifying edge cases, user experience gaps, and defects through deep investigative testing.

Required qualifications encompass over 5 years of combined automation and manual testing experience, proficiency in programming languages such as TypeScript, Java, Python, or JavaScript, and experience with modern automation tools like Playwright or testRigor. Familiarity with mobile automation tools and AI-based testing platforms is advantageous. The candidate should possess strong problem-solving skills, an inquisitive mindset, and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
