Archer is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer Intern to join our dynamic team focused on developing all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. This 10-week summer internship, based at our San Jose, California headquarters, offers hands-on experience in the development of our Flight Control System, contributing to the advancement of sustainable air mobility solutions.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and verifying safety-critical software components of the Flight Control System. Your day-to-day tasks will include defining and documenting software development processes compliant with DO-178C standards, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to integrate and certify complex hardware/software systems, conducting research on relevant engineering topics, and preparing technical documentation such as design specifications and test plans.

The ideal candidate is currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a degree in engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or a related field, preferably entering their senior year. Required qualifications include coursework in embedded systems and software/hardware integration labs, proficiency in C or Python, strong attention to detail, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and effective communication abilities. Alignment with Archer's core values is essential.

Compensation for this position ranges from $25.00 to $35.00 per hour, determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Please note that relocation and housing assistance are not provided for this internship.
