Software Engineer - Mapping and Localization
Applied Intuition is seeking a Software Engineer specializing in mapping and localization to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will contribute to the development of advanced mapping and localization systems for autonomous vehicles and advanced driver-assistance systems. As part of our customer-focused team, you will play a key role in shaping best practices within the evolving autonomy industry.
Your primary responsibilities will include designing and implementing state-of-the-art mapping and localization systems capable of operating across various vehicle platforms in dynamic environments. You will develop scalable systems for creating and integrating local or global maps, and build real-time onboard localization methods with high integrity. Additionally, you will optimize the use of resources and sensors, such as inertial sensors, vehicle signals, GNSS, cameras, lidars, and radars, to enhance mapping and localization capabilities.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Applied Mathematics, or a related engineering field, along with at least three years of experience in developing software components or systems addressing real-world mapping and localization challenges. A deep understanding of core localization concepts, world representations, transforms, and error analysis is essential. Proficiency in C++ programming is required, and experience in analyzing and comparing the performance of various hardware solutions for localization is highly valued.
Applied Intuition offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary ranging from $125,000 to $222,000 annually, equity options, and comprehensive benefits.
