Software Engineer - Mission Control
Applied Intuition is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Mission Control team, focusing on developing user interfaces for defense applications. This role involves creating tailored UIs that enable warfighters, program managers, and test engineers to interact with autonomous systems in both simulation and field environments. The Mission Control team operates with rapid iteration cycles, delivering essential autonomy tooling to the defense industry.
Key responsibilities include designing and implementing a data-oriented frontend UI/UX platform, collaborating closely with the Design team to understand user workflows, and integrating the frontend with in-house simulators, data transmission pipelines, autonomous systems, and other defense applications. The role emphasizes building a highly configurable, stable, and intuitive frontend platform, encompassing 2D/3D rendering and selection tools for mission planning, monitoring, and debriefing.
Candidates should have experience with full-stack web development, an interest in spatial reasoning and 2D/3D geographic map rendering, and a strong vision for intuitive user interfaces. A desire to learn and grow into a position of ownership and impact on a new product team is essential. U.S. citizenship is required, along with eligibility to obtain a security clearance.
