Software Engineer - Python
Applied Intuition is seeking a Software Engineer specializing in Python to join our Self-Driving System (SDS) team for Mining & Construction. This team is dedicated to developing a modular, production-grade autonomy and operator-assist stack for construction and mining vehicles. As a member of this team, you will contribute to building the digital infrastructure that brings intelligence to moving machines across various industries.
In this role, you will design and build scalable Python-based tooling and infrastructure to support development across the autonomy stack. Your responsibilities will include developing systems that support fleet management and vehicle communication, as well as contributing to the design of scalable systems that support multiple vehicle platforms and operating environments. Collaboration with engineers across the stack will be essential to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, along with at least one year of experience in shipping complex software in Python. Experience in building backend systems, developer tools, or infrastructure is required. Additional qualifications such as a Master's or PhD in computer science or applied mathematics with coursework or research experience in robotics, as well as experience with driver assistance or autonomous driving systems or off-road products, are considered advantageous.
Compensation for this full-time position includes a base salary ranging from $125,000 to $222,000 annually, equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, and comprehensive benefits.
