As a Software Engineer on the Workbench team at Applied Intuition, you will focus on enhancing developer workflows and deployment infrastructure for complex automotive systems. Your role involves building robust Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) validation pipelines, as well as leveraging cloud-based Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools to scale modern embedded software development across its entire lifecycle.

Your key responsibilities will include designing, building, and improving tools, libraries, and frameworks for the engineering team. You will develop and evolve CI/CD pipelines for embedded and automotive software, including SIL and HIL test environments. Additionally, you will build and test scalable tools for deploying to various automotive and cloud platforms, optimize compile/build times using tools like Bazel, CMake, and Docker, improve software deployment and data collection frameworks, and identify and resolve bottlenecks within the software stack.

The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of relevant experience and hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, or Kotlin is required. Experience with CI, build, and deployment technologies like Bazel, Buildkite, Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins, along with scripting for automation, is essential. Exposure to embedded, automotive, SIL/HIL, or hardware-adjacent environments is highly desirable, as is experience with Linux and/or ARM systems.
