Software Team Lead - DEM
Cato Networks is seeking an experienced Software Team Lead to join our Digital Experience Monitoring (DEM) team in Tel Aviv, Israel. As a pioneer in converging enterprise networking and security into a unified cloud service, Cato Networks is at the forefront of the Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) market. This role offers the opportunity to lead a talented team in developing highly scalable solutions that enhance our DEM capabilities.
In this position, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers through recruitment, mentoring, and daily management. Your duties will include end-to-end development, from processing large-scale data to designing web interfaces. You will collaborate closely with product management and automation teams, conduct ongoing research and prototyping for new features, implement and test enterprise platform solutions, and integrate new technologies into our products. Additionally, you will work in conjunction with multiple development teams to ensure cohesive progress.
The ideal candidate will have over seven years of web development experience, with proficiency in Java, Go, Play framework, Spring Boot, React, TypeScript, and GraphQL. A minimum of four to five years in Java or Go server-side development is required. Experience with large monitoring and analytics projects is advantageous. Candidates should have at least two years of experience as a team leader, demonstrating proven management skills in leading successful development teams. A strong background in networking protocols, particularly layers 3-7, and familiarity with both NoSQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis, is essential. Experience in building and operating SaaS microservices at scale, hands-on experience in cloud environments (AWS preferred), and a BSc degree in Computer Science from a recognized university are also required.
