Specialist Solutions Architect, Payments
Stripe is seeking a Specialist Solutions Architect to join our Payments team, focusing on enhancing financial infrastructures for B2B and B2C enterprises. This role involves collaborating with sales and pre-sales teams to drive revenue targets and influencing product roadmaps by providing insights into market trends. The successful candidate will develop deep relationships with senior customer business leaders, guiding them through financial infrastructure transformations to optimize authorization rates, conversion rates, and reduce risk and fraud.
Key responsibilities include leading customer teams to strategize and implement Stripe solutions, co-developing strategies to embed Stripe's Payments capabilities into customer platforms, and defining solution-specific architectures that simplify payment processes. The role also involves acting as a technical consultant to advise on financial architecture best practices, conducting deep discovery workshops to understand existing financial technologies, and creating architecture diagrams to facilitate solution decisions. Additionally, the Specialist Solutions Architect will develop reusable assets such as scalable value drivers, end-to-end solutions, and best practices to elevate the broader team.
The ideal candidate will have over seven years of experience in payments or fintech industries, with knowledge of ISO payment standards and experience designing payment flows for large enterprises. A strong understanding of global payment methods, including Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) and digital wallets, is essential. The candidate should also have experience integrating payment hubs with core banking systems, fraud and risk systems, and money movement rails. Proficiency in areas such as improving conversion rates, cost optimization, network compliance, processing reliability, and card feature expansion is required. Excellent communication skills and the ability to present persuasively to both peers and senior leadership are also important.
The annual US base salary range for this role is $239,900 to $359,900, which includes both the sales commissions/bonuses target and annual base salary. Additional benefits may include equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses, 401(k) plan, medical, dental, and vision benefits, and wellness stipends.
