Sr. Data Analyst, Commercial Intelligence
The Senior Data Analyst, Commercial Intelligence role at PitchBook Data is a strategic position within the Revenue Operations team, which operates at the intersection of Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Finance, Product, and IT. This team is dedicated to designing, maintaining, and continuously improving the systems, data, and insights that power PitchBook’s go-to-market engine, driving efficiency, visibility, and revenue impact across the full customer lifecycle.
In this role, the analyst will partner with senior go-to-market and revenue leaders to define success metrics, identify growth opportunities, and influence strategic decisions through data-backed insights. Responsibilities include leveraging Salesforce reporting expertise to build and interpret reports and dashboards, translating complex data from systems like Marketo and Gong into clear, actionable insights. The analyst will provide visibility into pipeline health, customer lifecycle, and revenue performance while ensuring data integrity, consistent KPIs, and scalable reporting. Additionally, the role involves designing and maintaining advanced reporting frameworks, dashboards, and models that surface insights across funnel performance, forecasting, retention, and expansion.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field, with a preference for a master’s degree. A minimum of 5 years of experience in revenue operations, business analytics, marketing operations, sales operations, or a related analytical role is required. The candidate should have a strong understanding of B2B revenue and go-to-market metrics, including funnel performance, pipeline health, conversion rates, retention, and forecasting. Advanced SQL skills and experience with modern data platforms such as Snowflake or BigQuery are essential, along with proficiency in building executive-ready dashboards using BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and a genuine interest in AI-driven analytics and emerging data tools are also important.
Compensation for this role includes an annual base salary ranging from $100,000 to $132,200, with a target annual bonus percentage of 10%.
