Monks is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic Infrastructure and Operations team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining the systems that power our software delivery lifecycle, ensuring our platforms are scalable, resilient, and highly automated. This position is based in Brazil.

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will design and manage cloud infrastructure using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible to ensure repeatable and consistent environments. You will build and optimize Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipelines to automate software delivery and reduce time-to-market. Additionally, you will maintain and scale high-availability environments within AWS, Azure, or GCP, ensuring optimal performance and cost-efficiency. Your responsibilities will also include architecting and managing containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes, implementing comprehensive logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions, and integrating security best practices into the development pipeline.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a DevOps, Site Reliability, or Systems Engineer, with deep technical knowledge of at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure). Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go for task automation is essential. Strong command of Linux/Unix systems administration and networking fundamentals, as well as hands-on experience managing production-grade Kubernetes clusters, are required. Experience with automation servers and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps is also necessary. Excellent problem-solving abilities, a proactive mindset, and the ability to remain calm and effective during critical system incidents are key soft skills for this role.
