Sr. Director, EHS, Facilities Management & Engineering
The Sr. Director, EHS, Facilities Management & Engineering at Legend Biotech is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the strategy, operation, and performance of all company facilities, including GMP manufacturing sites, laboratories, corporate offices, and administrative buildings. This position ensures reliable, safe, compliant, and efficient operations across utilities, engineering, building systems, environmental services, capital project execution, and workplace services. The role is integral to supporting manufacturing, clinical operations, R&D, and corporate growth while enhancing employee experience and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities include leading facilities operations across all Legend Biotech locations, ensuring consistent service levels and high reliability. The role involves overseeing building infrastructure such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, security systems, and life safety. Additionally, the Sr. Director manages critical GMP utilities, maintains audit readiness, and collaborates closely with Manufacturing, Quality, and EHS teams to ensure uninterrupted production. The position also encompasses engineering support for equipment lifecycle management, maintenance strategies, calibration programs, and readiness for tech transfers and expansion projects.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Architecture, or a related field, coupled with over 10 years of progressive leadership experience in GMP facilities and engineering within the biopharmaceutical industry. A deep understanding of Good Engineering Practices (GEP), GMP regulations, critical utility systems, commissioning and qualification processes, building systems, and regulatory expectations is essential. Experience in managing large capital projects and multi-site operations, along with strong vendor management, budget ownership, and cross-functional leadership skills, are also required.
