Archer is seeking a Senior Electrical Integration Engineer to lead the integration and testing of powertrain electrical systems, focusing on power electronics, battery management systems, dynamometers, and actuators. This role is integral to Archer's mission of advancing sustainable air mobility through the development of all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft.

The successful candidate will drive the architecture and design of powertrain test systems, ensuring seamless integration between high-voltage bus components, including engines, batteries with onboard BMS, DC-to-DC converters, and actuators. Responsibilities include owning the end-to-end electrical and mechanical design of test enclosures and high-voltage harness systems required for flight-representative validation, interpreting complex Interface Control Documents and board-level circuit schematics to resolve technical integration challenges, and leading the technical evaluation and testing of powertrain components while managing critical supply chain and logistics functions to ensure hardware availability for the test program.

Candidates should possess a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace) or Physics, with a proven track record of integrating and debugging complex, safety-critical electrical systems. Experience with high-voltage powertrains is ideal, but individuals with similar complexity in other integration domains such as aerospace avionics integration, RF systems integration, or test equipment design and build are also encouraged to apply. A deep understanding of electrical test equipment design and build, including power switching topologies and high-voltage systems considerations, is essential. Hands-on testing experience, strong troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills are critical for this role.

Archer offers a competitive base pay range of $144,000 to $188,000, with actual compensation determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The company is dedicated to cultivating an equitable and inclusive environment that embraces differences and supports all team members. Employees are expected to report to work onsite at the San Jose, California headquarters, contributing to a collaborative and innovative workplace culture.
