This role focuses on developing and verifying safety-critical software components for the aircraft Charge Control Unit (CCU). As part of our mission to advance sustainable air mobility, you will contribute to the design and operation of our all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft.

In this position, you will design and implement charge control systems, interfacing embedded software with high-voltage electrical components and analog/digital circuitry. Collaborating with systems engineers, you will decompose item requirements into high-level and low-level software requirements in compliance with DO-178C standards. Your work will involve developing, integrating, verifying, and certifying complex hardware/software systems, as well as implementing fault detection and diagnostic algorithms to identify and respond to hardware-level events.

The ideal candidate will have at least six years of experience in a related field and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline. Proficiency in C/C++ for developing firmware that controls and monitors electrical subsystems is essential. Hands-on experience with industry standards such as ISO 15118-2/-3/-30, SAE J1772, and HomePlug AV Specification Standards is required. Familiarity with safety-critical software development standards like DO-178C, ISO 26262, or ASIL to high criticality levels (DAL-A/B or ASIL C/D) is also necessary.

Archer offers a competitive base salary ranging from $140,000 to $170,000, determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. We are committed to fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment that supports personal development and innovation.
