Sr. Financial Analyst
Harbinger Motors is seeking a skilled Senior Financial Analyst to lead budgeting and forecasting for the Bill of Material (BOM), Engineering Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE), and Tooling. This position offers a unique opportunity to drive strategic initiatives critical to achieving company goals for our current product line, while also collaborating closely with Engineering on our next generation of products. A successful candidate will be able to create visibility and highlight opportunities from the numbers, build strong relationships with technical leaders, and is self-motivated with a can-do attitude.
Key responsibilities include becoming the BOM subject matter expert by analyzing changes and reporting variances, preparing and presenting financial reports to senior leadership with clear summaries of BOM costs and impacts, and leading strategic BOM initiatives. The role involves partnering closely with Engineering, from Design Release Engineers (DREs) to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), to understand financial trade-offs for proposed design changes. Additionally, the analyst will collaborate with Engineering leaders on budgeting, forecasting, and compiling targets for both BOM and investment for future programs, as well as coordinate with Supply Chain and Engineering to ensure data integrity in the BOM is accurate.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business with an emphasis in Finance, and have over five years of relevant finance experience, preferably in product development. Essential qualities include intellectual curiosity to understand the rationale behind the numbers, attention to detail, critical thinking skills to evaluate problems and solutions from all angles, and creative problem-solving abilities to identify obstacles and present viable solutions. The candidate should be highly organized, capable of managing multiple projects with tight deadlines, and have excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets, and ERP systems is also required.
Compensation for this role ranges from $90,000 to $120,000 annually.
