Sr FPGA Engineer - Advanced Technology

Voyager Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior FPGA Engineer to join their Advanced Technologies Group, focusing on the design, integration, and qualification of complex systems for in-space computing applications. This role emphasizes high-velocity design and technical leadership within a team dedicated to pioneering advancements in defense, national security, and space technology.

The Senior FPGA Engineer will be responsible for designing and testing high-speed FPGA designs, primarily utilizing Xilinx technology, to implement high-throughput algorithms. Key tasks include developing embedded applications using the Xilinx Zynq family, creating architectures compatible with embedded Linux environments, and supporting top-level system simulations. The role also involves translating system requirements into FPGA architectures, implementing and documenting FPGA designs using hardware description languages such as VHDL and System Verilog, and supporting systems integration and test engineering to ensure functional designs.

Candidates must possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and have over five years of experience in firmware design, integration, and testing, preferably with the Xilinx family. The role requires the ability to manage multiple projects and support production activities, a strong technical background with the capacity to quickly adapt to new technologies, and excellent communication skills for both individual and collaborative team environments. Strong documentation and problem-solving skills are essential.

The position offers a base salary range of $135,000 to $185,000, depending on experience, skills, and location.
