The Sr GNC Engineer, DevOps at Archer is a pivotal role within the Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) engineering team, which supports the development of next-generation electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining DevOps pipelines to ensure efficient integration, testing, and deployment of GNC software. The engineer will collaborate closely with software developers, flight test teams, and avionics engineers to enhance automation, monitor system performance, and ensure seamless delivery of mission-critical code to flight platforms. There is an emphasis on driving best practices in CI/CD, maintaining cloud-based interfaces, and ensuring system reliability throughout the aircraft’s development lifecycle.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Computer Science, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with substantial experience in DevOps, software automation, and guidance, navigation, and control systems. Proficiency with CI/CD platforms, scripting languages, containerization, and cloud environments is essential. Familiarity with safety-critical aviation or robotics environments is strongly preferred, as well as excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.
