Archer is seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer to join our Manufacturing Technology organization in San Jose, California. This role is integral to scaling our aircraft production, focusing on optimizing the flow of products, materials, and personnel through our manufacturing systems. As part of a newly established Industrial Engineering function, you will collaborate closely with Advanced Manufacturing Engineering and Equipment Design teams to enhance production efficiency.

In this position, you will develop and maintain factory simulation models to assess production throughput, capacity, and scaling strategies. Your responsibilities include modeling end-to-end manufacturing processes, building simulation models for equipment stations and conveyance systems, analyzing line balancing and equipment utilization, and running scenario simulations to evaluate factory layout changes and capacity improvements. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to integrate layouts into simulation models and inform manufacturing decisions.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Research, or a related field, with over five years of experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing systems modeling, or factory simulation. Proficiency in discrete event simulation and production flow modeling is required, along with a strong understanding of production routing, machine cycle time modeling, line balancing, equipment utilization, queue behavior, and manufacturing material flow systems. Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate factory layouts and production data into simulation models are essential.

Archer offers a competitive base salary ranging from $134,600 to $168,000, determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
