Sr. Manager, Finance
As Senior Manager, Finance at Carlsmed, you will provide critical financial support to drive our mission of transforming spine surgery through personalized solutions. In this role, you will serve as a strategic finance partner to commercial, R&D, and operations leadership within a fast-paced medical device environment. This position is responsible for leading financial planning, forecasting, financial systems, and performance management processes, while providing actionable insights that drive growth, profitability, and operational efficiency. You will be instrumental in building scalable financial infrastructure and leading the transformation of FP&A systems and reporting capabilities to support the company's next phase of growth.
Key responsibilities include leading company-wide budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow), driving planning cycles aligned with corporate strategy and operational priorities, and developing financial models supporting strategic initiatives and capital allocation. You will enhance financial reporting, including KPI dashboards and variance analysis, and deliver forward-looking insights highlighting risks and opportunities. Additionally, you will lead FP&A systems strategy, including implementation and optimization of tools, automate reporting and forecasting processes, and partner with operations to optimize cost structures and improve gross margins.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or economics, with an MBA or CPA preferred. A minimum of 10 years of financial planning and analysis experience, including leadership responsibilities, is required. Mastery of Microsoft Excel for financial modeling and proficiency with FP&A and accounting software, ideally Adaptive Planning and Netsuite, are essential. Strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a detail-oriented, organized approach are also necessary.
