The Sr. Manager, Maintenance & Metrology at Legend Biotech is responsible for overseeing maintenance and metrology support, as well as mechanical system operations, within cGMP Clinical and Commercial Cell Therapy Manufacturing. This role involves collaborating with various Technical Operations functions to ensure safe and compliant manufacturing processes for personalized cell therapy production. The position is integral to the establishment and scaling of clinical production and the approval of a state-of-the-art cell therapy facility for commercial launch and sustained production.

Key responsibilities include leading and developing a maintenance and metrology team to support daily clinical production and prepare for commercial supply of CAR-T products. The role involves managing daily facility operations, calibrations, and maintenance activities, ensuring the availability of necessary materials and spare parts, and overseeing work orders and third-party vendor work. Additionally, the Sr. Manager is tasked with planning and executing facility shutdowns, developing maintenance plans, and establishing safety programs such as Lock Out/Tag Out and emergency response protocols. The position also requires conducting risk assessments, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring compliance with cGMP and regulatory standards.

Candidates should possess a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Biological/Biochemical Science, Bioengineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of 8 years of experience in cGMP cleanroom manufacturing under aseptic conditions. Technical expertise in maintenance and metrology management, facilities management, and a broad understanding of cGMP compliance, EHS, and regulatory standards are essential. Strong knowledge of HVAC operations, building automation, environmental monitoring systems, process maintenance, instrumentation, automation PLCs, VFDs, and electrical practices is required. The role demands proven leadership abilities, experience in team development, and the capacity to drive change within an organization.

The base salary for this position ranges from $142,146 to $186,567 annually. Additional compensation may include performance-based bonuses and equity options for eligible roles.
