Sr. Manager, QC Microbiology

The Sr. Manager, QC Microbiology at Legend Biotech is responsible for overseeing the quality control microbiology laboratories supporting cell therapy manufacturing. This role involves managing laboratory operations, developing and implementing microbiology procedures, and leading a team of professionals to ensure compliance with cGMP standards.

Key responsibilities include ensuring adequate training of staff, managing raw material and product testing, investigating laboratory non-conformances, maintaining laboratory equipment, and overseeing method validation activities. The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business needs and representing the department during audits.

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Biology, or a related technical discipline, along with 12 to 14 years of relevant work experience, preferably in an aseptic manufacturing facility. A minimum of 3 to 5 years of leadership experience is required. Extensive knowledge of chemical, biochemical, and microbiological concepts, as well as cGMP regulations and FDA/EU guidance, is essential.

The position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $142,146 to $186,567, with additional performance-based bonuses and equity options available for eligible roles.
