Sr. Operational Excellence Engineer
The Sr. Operational Excellence Engineer at Legend Biotech will lead the continuous improvement program at the Raritan cGMP Clinical and Commercial Cell Therapy Manufacturing plant. This role involves driving safety, quality, delivery, and cost-saving initiatives, ensuring alignment with the plant's strategic objectives. The position requires collaboration across various site functions and reports to the Lead of Operational Excellence Execution.
Key responsibilities include developing and executing Lean and Continuous Improvement strategies to achieve the site's SQPDC objectives. The engineer will utilize methodologies such as DMAIC, root cause analysis, daily management systems, standardized work, visual tools, PDCA, Kanban, pull systems, SMED, Pareto analysis, FMEA, A3 thinking, time studies, poke-yoke, and value stream mapping. Additionally, the role involves mentoring Lean Practitioners, facilitating kaizen events, and applying change management methodologies.
Candidates must possess a B.S. in a STEM-related field, with an M.S. preferred. A minimum of 10 years of experience with a B.S. or 8 years with an M.S. in leading continuous improvement efforts in a manufacturing environment is required. Proficiency in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, with a Six Sigma Black Belt preferred, is essential. Strong skills in change management, communication, and statistical analysis using tools like Excel, Visio, and Minitab are also necessary.
The base salary for this position ranges from $142,146 to $186,567 annually, with potential performance-based bonuses and equity.
