Sr. Payroll Analyst
Archer, an innovative aerospace company based in San Jose, California, is seeking a Senior Payroll Analyst to join our dynamic team. We are dedicated to advancing sustainable air mobility by designing and operating all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. The Senior Payroll Analyst will be responsible for the full-cycle processing of semi-monthly U.S. payroll for over 1,000 employees across more than 38 states. Key duties include creating reconciliation reports for 401(k), benefits, and equity awards, preparing and keying multiple journal entries, and assisting with payroll compliance matters such as multi-state tax withholding and garnishments. The role also involves researching complex transactions, recommending scalable processes to enhance operational efficiency, and providing standard and ad-hoc payroll reports to various internal departments.
Candidates should possess a BS/BA degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance, and have over five years of experience in a payroll function within a fast-paced environment. Experience with multi-state payrolls for organizations with more than 1,000 employees, detailed knowledge of payroll compliance, and proficiency in ADP WorkforceNow are essential. Strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and excellent communication skills are also required.
