Sr Software Verification Engineer

Archer is seeking a Senior Software Verification Engineer to join our team dedicated to developing all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. This role focuses on ensuring the safety and reliability of our aircraft's battery management system (BMS) software, adhering to DO-178C standards.

The successful candidate will design, develop, and document comprehensive test plans, test cases, and procedures derived from software requirements. Responsibilities include executing Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing, identifying and tracking software defects, and developing automated test scripts to enhance testing efficiency.

Applicants should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field and hold at least a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline. Strong knowledge of C/C++ for code analysis, proficiency in scripting languages like Python for test automation, and familiarity with safety-critical software development standards such as DO-178C are essential.
