Staff Customer Success Manager
As a Staff Customer Success Manager at Checkr, you will join the Checkr Trust team, an emerging business unit operating across multiple verticals. This role is pivotal in ensuring customers deploy deeply, expand meaningfully, and become long-term partners. Checkr is a leading data platform company that helps customers assess risk and ensure safety and compliance to build trusted workplaces and communities.
In this position, you will own a portfolio of strategic accounts, serving as the primary post-sale owner for high-impact, high-visibility customers. Your responsibilities include driving executive-level alignment on business goals, ensuring rapid deployment from contract to meaningful production usage, identifying underutilization, removing barriers to deeper embedding, surfacing expansion opportunities, and partnering closely with Sales on renewals and strategic growth motions. Additionally, you will be accountable for retention and expansion revenue across your portfolio and use advanced AI tools to build systems that support growth.
The ideal candidate has 6–10+ years of experience in Customer Success, Strategic Account Management, or a hybrid post-sale role in B2B SaaS. You should have experience owning enterprise or high-growth accounts with meaningful revenue responsibility, a track record of driving both retention and expansion, comfort navigating executive stakeholders and technical teams, and experience operating in startup or high-growth environments. Technical fluency is essential, including the ability to lead customer integrations, diagnose adoption friction, and work within applications like Zendesk, Salesforce, Google Apps, and BI tools like Looker and Omni.
The compensation for this role includes a base salary range of $169,000 to $199,000 USD, with additional benefits such as 100% medical, dental, and vision coverage, up to $25K reimbursement for fertility, adoption, and parental planning services, a flexible PTO policy, and a monthly wellness stipend. The position is hybrid, requiring three days per week in the San Francisco office (Tuesday through Thursday).
