Archer is seeking a Staff Electronics Engineer specializing in microcontrollers and sensors to join our team in San Jose, California. As a key member of our aerospace company, you will contribute to the development of all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft designed to advance sustainable air mobility. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology in a dynamic and innovative environment.

In this position, you will lead product development from inception to completion, focusing on designing and implementing electrical systems for power converters. Your responsibilities will include developing detailed system requirements, creating and supervising design layouts, and utilizing simulations and prototypes to validate designs. Additionally, you will design processor and sensor architectures, select appropriate microcontrollers, and develop power supply and communication circuits. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential to optimize designs for overall vehicle performance.

The ideal candidate will possess an Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent experience, along with over eight years of relevant experience in electrical system and circuit board design. Expertise in designing controllers and sensors for power converters or inverters with electromagnetic compatibility considerations is required. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, a demonstrated ability to design printed circuit board assemblies from concept to production, and a solid understanding of analog and power circuits are essential. Experience in designing for high-speed communications and proficiency with electrical engineering tools are also necessary.

Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
