Staff Manufacturing Engineer, Assembly and Integration
Archer is seeking a Staff Manufacturing Engineer to join our Manufacturing Design Engineering (MDE) team, focusing on the assembly and integration of our all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. This role is pivotal in bridging aircraft design and production, supporting builds from prototype through early production ramp, and contributing to the advancement of sustainable air mobility.
The successful candidate will set the manufacturing strategy for aircraft build-up and integration, defining build plans and methods for next-generation aircraft programs. Responsibilities include leading the development and implementation of scalable manufacturing processes, serving as the technical authority for structural assembly, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturing solutions meet regulatory and company requirements.
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience, along with over 10 years of manufacturing experience with deep expertise in assembly and integration. A strong understanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM), manufacturing process architecture, Model-Based Definition (MBD), and GD&T for aerospace structures is essential. Excellent communication and leadership skills are also required.
