Staff Manufacturing Engineer, Mechanical Actuation Systems
Anduril Industries is seeking a Staff Manufacturing Engineer to join their Core Tech Manufacturing Team, focusing on advanced mechanical actuators and motion control systems for sea and air vehicle platforms. This role involves overseeing the entire manufacturing process, including design for manufacturability, specialized tooling, process optimization, vendor management, quality planning, and comprehensive documentation for high-reliability hardware.
The primary responsibilities include leading new product introduction initiatives, transitioning precision mechanical actuators from prototype to scalable production, and providing critical feedback to design engineering for manufacturability and assembly. The engineer will also design and implement tooling and fixtures for precision actuator assembly, establish robust process flows for complex assemblies, and develop comprehensive manufacturing documentation and test methodologies.
Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field, along with over 12 years of experience in manufacturing or design engineering, specifically with precision mechanical components or motion control systems. A proven track record in leading technical initiatives, expertise in delivering complex electromechanical hardware, and proficiency with Siemens NX and Teamcenter are essential. Hands-on experience in precision machining and electromechanical assembly is also required.
The position offers a competitive salary range of $166,000 to $220,000 annually, along with highly competitive equity grants.
