Staff Program Manager, Powertrain
Archer is seeking an experienced Powertrain Program Manager to lead the development of Electrical Systems and Propulsion within its Program Management Office. This role involves guiding products through their entire lifecycle, from initial design to rigorous testing, validation, and FAA certification, ensuring systems are qualified for serial production. The position requires a strong background in aerospace integration and a proven track record in managing complex, supplier-partnered technical programs.
Key responsibilities include developing and driving cross-functional program execution plans for new product development, refining high-level schedules for Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) in Archer's Electrical Systems and Propulsion product lines, and serving as the primary cross-functional interface across Design, Test, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Facilities teams. The role also involves owning the Design Validation (DV) and Product Validation (PV) Testing roadmap for Electric Propulsion Systems, managing the readiness and launch of testing equipment, and overseeing testing program risk tracking and mitigation plans.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field, along with over five years of hardware engineering program management experience in aerospace, aviation, or similar industries focused on new product development, testing, and validation. Essential skills include the ability to lead cross-functional teams through complex technical challenges, strong project management proficiency, experience managing both in-house and outsourced testing, and familiarity with electric and hybrid powertrain and propulsion technologies. A strong financial acumen and a hands-on approach to product development and testing are also required.
Archer offers a competitive base salary range of $172,800 to $216,000, with actual compensation determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
