The Staff Reliability Engineer at Peak Energy will play a pivotal role in ensuring the dependability and longevity of our utility-scale sodium-ion energy storage systems. This position is integral to our engineering team, focusing on designing and implementing reliability strategies that align with our mission to build a stable, energy-independent future. Peak Energy is a leader in vertically integrated energy storage solutions, committed to delivering affordable and reliable energy to support the next era of American innovation.

In this role, the engineer will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive reliability plans, including failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), reliability block diagrams, and life data analysis. The day-to-day work involves collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to identify potential reliability risks, conducting root cause analyses, and implementing corrective actions to enhance product performance. Additionally, the engineer will oversee reliability testing protocols and analyze field data to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, with a strong background in reliability engineering principles and practices. A minimum of 5 years of experience in reliability engineering within the energy storage, power systems, or related industries is required. Proficiency in reliability analysis tools and methodologies, such as Weibull analysis and Monte Carlo simulations, is essential. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment are also critical for success in this role.

Peak Energy offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $150,000 to $170,000, with actual pay varying based on work location, experience, and skills. Our benefits package includes unlimited PTO, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, a strong 401(k) plan, and equity opportunities. We value our employees and promote work-life balance, providing a supportive environment for professional growth.

Joining Peak Energy means becoming part of a team dedicated to rethinking how grid storage is built. We prioritize execution, building reliable systems at the speed and scale the grid requires. Our technology is mature, our supply chain is domestic, and our architecture is built for long-term operation. This is an opportunity to contribute to a company that is solving systemic problems with scalable, defensible solutions, and to be part of a defining moment in the energy sector.
