The Test Engineer Intern will lead testing and functional verification efforts for energy storage systems, from battery to power electronics. This role involves close collaboration with design and simulation teams to develop procedures, set up and run tests, and report findings that inform product design. The intern will be part of a dynamic team at Peak Energy, a company pioneering Sodium-Ion battery systems for renewable energy storage.

Key responsibilities include conducting comprehensive testing of functional, high voltage, thermal, and mechanical systems across energy storage products. The intern will develop test strategies, plans, and procedures to evaluate key risks, spearhead the design and acquisition of testing infrastructure, and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure design integrity and improvements. Analyzing complex test data, reporting findings, and driving system enhancements are also integral to the role.

Candidates should be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. Experience in test engineering, preferably within the battery storage or renewable energy sectors, is desired. A strong understanding of electromechanical engineering principles, proficiency in data processing and analysis tools, excellent problem-solving skills, and strong communication abilities are essential. The ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and a proactive ownership mindset with a strong sense of accountability are also important.

The position offers a pay rate of $30 per hour. The benefits package includes flexible PTO, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, a strong 401(k) plan, and equity opportunities.
