Staff Software Engineer, Applied AI
Webflow is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our Applied AI team, focusing on developing generative AI-powered features that enhance the speed, creativity, and quality of website design and development. In this role, you will lead the architecture and design of features integrating large language models and diffusion models, ensuring high technical quality while delivering incremental value to users. You will collaborate with product and machine learning engineers, product managers, and designers to identify and implement AI solutions that improve the Webflow user experience. Additionally, you will develop and maintain user interfaces that integrate AI models and assist in incorporating third-party AI APIs into our product architecture.
The ideal candidate will have a BA/BS degree or equivalent experience, with over 7 years of experience in shipping code for consumer-facing web products and at least 2 years focused on AI/ML-dependent products. Proficiency in Node.js, React, TypeScript, and a deep understanding of web technologies are essential. A strong grasp of AI concepts, including large language models, fine-tuning, vector databases, and prompt engineering, is required. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams are also important.
Webflow offers a competitive compensation package, with base pay ranging from $154,200 to $247,700, depending on geographic location and experience.
