Staff Software Engineer, Connected Warfare
Anduril Industries is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join the Menace Platform group within the Connected Warfare division. This division focuses on developing systems that support global command and control missions by creating interconnected ecosystems that link robots, humans, and sensors across various domains. The Menace Platform is designed for tactical environments where connectivity is contested, and resilience is crucial, enabling rapid decision-making even in disconnected scenarios.
In this role, the engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining software components of the Menace Platform, including the mesh platform, data interfaces, and release management. Key responsibilities include designing well-architected systems with clear interfaces, conducting code and design reviews, and implementing modern software engineering practices. The engineer will also champion aspects such as testability, scalability, reliability, and maintainability, and collaborate across multiple teams to plan, build, and test complex functionalities. Additionally, the role involves triaging issues, identifying root causes of failures, and coordinating subsequent steps.
Candidates should have at least 10 years of experience in software design and development, with a strong emphasis on rapid delivery and iteration, extreme ownership, and maintaining a low-ego approach. The ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established codebases is essential. A desire to work on critical software with real-world impact is crucial. Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance is required.
The position offers a competitive salary range between $220,000 and $292,000 USD annually, along with highly competitive equity grants.
