Staff Software Engineer, Developer Productivity
Webflow is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead and enhance the developer productivity team. This role focuses on defining and driving the end-to-end deployment strategy, shaping systems that enable engineering velocity at scale. In this position, you will own and evolve Webflow's GitOps-based deployment platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and ease of use. Responsibilities include designing and implementing progressive delivery mechanisms, setting technical direction across teams, and establishing best practices for CI/CD and release engineering. You will also identify and eliminate bottlenecks to improve developer productivity and cycle time.
The ideal candidate has deep expertise in modern deployment systems, including Kubernetes, GitOps workflows, and tools like ArgoCD and Argo Rollouts. A strong track record of improving developer velocity, reliability, and system scalability is essential. Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS), containerization (Docker), distributed systems, and infrastructure as code (e.g., Pulumi, Terraform) is required. Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence engineering teams through technical leadership are also important.
Compensation for this role varies by geographic location. In the United States, the salary ranges from $164,000 to $238,000, depending on the zone. In Canada (ON & BC), the range is CAD 212,000 to CAD 270,000.
