Staff Survivability and Operation Analysis Engineer
Archer is seeking a Staff Survivability and Operation Analysis Engineer to join our Defense and Advanced Programs organization. This role involves leading the development and execution of advanced aerospace programs, focusing on enhancing the survivability and operational effectiveness of our all-electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. As part of a dynamic team, you will contribute to our mission of advancing sustainable air mobility solutions.
In this position, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, fabricating, and testing survivability technologies, including radar cross-section (RCS), infrared (IR), and acoustic signatures. Your day-to-day activities will involve conducting operations analysis using modeling and simulation environments such as AFSIM, and developing mission systems to counter domestic and international threat systems. Collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, and business disciplines will be essential to successfully incubate, market, capture, and execute advanced programs within our defense portfolio.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 6-10 years of experience in the aerospace or related field, with at least a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, physics, or mathematics; an advanced degree is preferred. Proficiency in RF, electronic warfare/electronic attack (EW/EA), electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR), acoustic systems, mission systems, sensors, communications, and propulsion systems is required. Additionally, experience with CAD, Python, and MATLAB is essential. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Department of Defense security clearance are mandatory for this role.
At Archer, we offer a competitive compensation package, with a base pay range of $130,800 to $179,900, determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
