Staff Technical Program Manager, Assembly and Integration
Archer is seeking a Staff Technical Program Manager to lead the execution of aircraft assembly and integration from initial planning through final delivery. This role involves managing coordination between engineering, manufacturing, systems, supply chain, and quality assurance teams to ensure successful project milestones. Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California, building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance sustainable air mobility.
Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining integrated program schedules, budgets, and risk registers to track progress and ensure milestones are met. The role also involves overseeing the physical integration of structural, mechanical, and avionic systems into aircraft platforms, ensuring configuration control, interface compatibility, and alignment with certification and customer requirements. Additionally, the manager will identify and resolve technical and execution risks efficiently and communicate program status, risks, and recovery plans clearly to leadership and customers.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft assembly, integration, or manufacturing engineering is required, with at least 3 years in a program or technical leadership role. Strong technical knowledge of aircraft structural assemblies, system installations, wiring, hydraulics, and flight systems is essential. Proven ability to manage program schedules, technical scope, and cross-functional resources, along with experience with program management tools such as MS Project, Smartsheets, or Jira, is also necessary. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills are critical for success in this role.
Archer offers a competitive base pay between $130,000 and $160,000, with actual compensation determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
