Anduril Industries is seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer to join their team in Costa Mesa, California. This role involves supporting new space hardware programs from concept through launch, focusing on structural analysis to ensure the performance and reliability of advanced defense technologies. The position is integral to Anduril's mission of transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities with cutting-edge technology.

The Structural Analysis Engineer will be responsible for performing static and dynamic structural analyses across various domains, including sea, ground, air, and space. Key tasks include developing and maintaining finite element models (FEMs) at both global and subsystem levels, collaborating with hardware engineers to inform design decisions based on analytical results, and conducting validation testing through instrumentation setup, data collection, and model correlation. Additionally, the engineer will document analysis methodologies and results in technical reports for internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring designs meet customer requirements, industry standards, and safety regulations.

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or applied physics with a focus on structures. A deep understanding of statics, dynamics, mechanics of materials, and material properties is essential. Experience with structural testing methods, including static, buckling, and cyclic tests, as well as proficiency in finite element analysis (FEA) software such as ANSYS, Abaqus, or NASTRAN, is required. Familiarity with CAD tools like NX or SolidWorks, and programming skills in MATLAB or Python for developing analytical models and automation, are also necessary. The role demands a highly motivated, self-starting individual capable of working autonomously and managing ill-defined problems effectively. Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret security clearance is mandatory.

The salary range for this position is between $129,000 and $171,000 per year, with actual offers depending on factors such as work experience, education, and critical skills.
