Systems Architect - Android
As an Android Solutions Architect on the Vehicle OS team at Applied Intuition, you will lead the development of a universal software foundation that enables automakers to deliver next-generation vehicle intelligence and software at scale. Working across application, middleware, and hardware layers, you will collaborate with diverse teams to ensure seamless integration and rapid deployment, driving the transition to a software-defined future for the automotive industry.
In this role, you will develop and maintain Android and Android Automotive OS middleware systems from the front end to the Hardware Abstraction Layer. You will work across the entire stack to develop new products, features, and tools, designing efficient and effective solutions to a wide range of engineering challenges. Additionally, you will ship complex software in fast-paced environments alongside domain experts across various fields, including infrastructure, automotive, and graphics engineering.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related field, along with over 10 years of experience in Android or iOS mobile app development. A strong foundation in C++ and Java programming languages, familiarity with common data structures and algorithms, and knowledge of design patterns and operating systems are essential. Proficiency in the Android framework, custom Android HALs, services, and SDK add-ons is required, as well as a demonstrated ability to be a self-starter who can quickly become comfortable with new technical tools and programming languages.
Compensation for this full-time position includes a base salary ranging from $204,000 to $359,000 annually, equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, and comprehensive health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance coverage. Additional benefits include 401(k) retirement benefits with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off.
