Applied Intuition is seeking a Systems Engineer with a strong background in Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving to join our team in Stuttgart, Germany. This role is pivotal in shaping the technical direction of our projects, driving the entire systems engineering workflow, and collaborating closely with a team of exceptional system and software engineers.

The Systems Engineer will be responsible for defining and managing system requirements, generating safety concepts, and implementing verification and validation strategies, with a focus on Active Safety Functions or Parking. The role involves ensuring structured and rapid progress toward automotive series-release by measuring and tracking key performance indicators across extensive digital tests and real-world data sets. Utilizing Applied Intuition’s simulation and data tools, the engineer will oversee high-level KPIs while delving into detailed analyses of individual tests through a unified web interface. Additionally, the position requires unfolding existing standards and regulations into the development process, deriving functional requirements, and setting test cases from regulations and voluntary assessments like NCAP. Direct customer interaction and exposure are also integral to this role.

Candidates should have previous experience bringing safety-critical ADAS functions to series-release, with at least four years in a systems engineering role responsible for owning system requirements, testing systems for verification and validation, and designing safety-critical systems in the automotive industry. Experience with worldwide regulations and standards relevant to driver assistance, as well as a deep understanding of architectural design of ADAS/AD systems, including recent and novel end-to-end architectures, is essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to be a self-starter, quickly becoming comfortable with new technical concepts and tools, and possess strong collaboration skills to work effectively with other teams, customers, and companies to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Applied Intuition offers a comprehensive benefits package, including lunch and dinner allowances, annual fitness and learning stipends, and stock options. This position provides an unparalleled opportunity to work at a high-paced Silicon Valley company, learn and grow with a world-class team, and contribute to the growth of our Self-Driving System (SDS) solutions in Europe and for our European customers.
