Archer is seeking a Systems Engineer for Development Assurance to join our team in San Jose, California. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in launching our first certified aircraft by architecting the engineering framework that governs our development processes. Reporting directly to the Manager of Systems Engineering, you will define, deploy, and continuously improve the processes and toolchains that enable our teams to develop cutting-edge aircraft systems with the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key responsibilities include leading the definition, implementation, and continuous improvement of a comprehensive Systems Engineering framework fully compliant with ARP4754A. You will establish standards, templates, and quality criteria for all key development artifacts, ensuring they meet the objectives of ARP4754A, DO-178C, and DO-254. Additionally, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to integrate compliant processes into their daily workflows and configure our engineering toolchain to enforce process compliance and automate traceability.

The ideal candidate will possess a BS, MS, or PhD in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, along with over five years of experience in developing aerospace systems. A proven background in developing and verifying highly integrated aerospace systems, experience with requirements development, and a deep understanding of systems engineering practices are essential. Proficiency with requirements management tools such as Polarion, DOORS, or Jama is also required.

Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
