Rocket Lab Corporation is seeking a Systems Engineer I/II to join our Space Systems division in Long Beach, California. This role involves leading cutting-edge programs for civil, commercial, and defense customers, focusing on the development and maintenance of technical budgets, requirements definition, test planning and execution, and overall management of the systems engineering process. The successful candidate will work hands-on with flight hardware and drive the technical development of our Space Systems missions.

Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining technical budgets for vehicle performance, system requirements and verification techniques, simulations and analysis across vehicle functions, and test methods and data analysis. The Systems Engineer will lead and own the technical development of spacecraft missions, assist with program and product management, and collaborate with team members to develop interface specifications, CONOPS definitions, and other design documents.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering (software, computer, electrical, aerospace, mechanical, or other technical engineering discipline) and engineering experience in the aerospace industry. Experience supporting satellite or spacecraft development programs is required. For the Systems Engineer II level, a minimum of 2 years of engineering experience in the aerospace industry is necessary. U.S. citizenship is required due to program requirements.

Rocket Lab offers a competitive base salary ranging from $80,000 to $130,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
