Milbank LLP is seeking a Talent Development Manager to support its Alternative Investments practice group within the Legal Personnel Department. This role is based in the New York office and operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring in-person attendance three days per week. The position reports to the Director of Attorney Talent Development and involves close interaction with employees at all levels, necessitating flexibility, proactivity, resourcefulness, and a high level of professionalism.

The Talent Development Manager will familiarize themselves with the practice group, its attorneys, administrative teams, deal flow, and clients. Key responsibilities include collaborating with partners to deliver consistent developmental and training messages during associate performance evaluations, coordinating associate assignments in conjunction with Staffing Partners, counseling associates on career goals, and working with Training Partners and the Professional Development team to implement a multi-tiered transactional training program. Additionally, the role involves developing and facilitating events to enhance group cohesion and managing onboarding and exit procedures for associates.

Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree and have four to eight years of law firm experience, with a strong preference for relevant transactional experience. Essential skills include strong interpersonal, presentation, communication, leadership, time management, and organizational abilities. The role requires high responsiveness to time-sensitive issues and flexibility regarding working hours. In-person attendance on a hybrid schedule is expected.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is between $160,000 and $180,000, representing the firm's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base compensation range. Actual base compensation will depend on factors such as the candidate's relevant experience, performance, qualifications, degrees, and location, as well as the needs of the firm.
