Square is seeking a Territory Account Executive to join our Outbound Sales Team in Kelowna, Okanagan BC. In this role, you will be instrumental in expanding Square's presence by engaging with small and midsize businesses across diverse industries, introducing them to our comprehensive ecosystem of products and services. As a Territory Account Executive, you will manage the entire outbound sales cycle, from prospecting to closing deals with SMB and mid-market merchants. Your day-to-day activities will include building and maintaining a high-quality pipeline through cold outreach, social selling, targeted campaigns, and creative outbound strategies. You will develop multi-product solutions tailored to each merchant's unique needs, conduct impactful discovery sessions, deliver compelling demos, and negotiate decisively across multi-stakeholder deals. Collaboration with cross-functional teams such as Product, Marketing, Implementation, and Operations will be essential to deliver cohesive solutions.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of full-cycle B2B sales experience with a consistent record of achieving quotas. Proven success in outbound prospecting and creating new business opportunities, preferably in SaaS or fintech, is highly valued. Experience in closing complex, multi-threaded deals with longer sales cycles is essential. Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills across various channels are required, along with the ability to work independently while contributing to a team-first environment. Proficiency with Salesforce and modern sales tools is also expected.
Block offers a market-based compensation approach, with pay varying depending on location. For this role in Kelowna, Okanagan BC, the salary range is $159,900 to $239,900 USD per year, plus equity. The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.
