Territory Account Executive, West Palm Beach
Square is seeking a Territory Account Executive to join its dynamic field sales team in West Palm Beach, Florida. This role is pivotal in expanding Square's presence by directly engaging with local businesses and promoting its comprehensive suite of financial and commerce solutions. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving Square's mission of economic empowerment within the community.
The Territory Account Executive will dedicate approximately 80% of their time to field activities, including visiting 50–60 local businesses weekly to generate leads, conduct needs assessments, deliver product demonstrations, and close sales. Responsibilities encompass building and maintaining trust-based relationships with local sellers, ensuring seamless onboarding experiences, and developing a robust sales pipeline through community engagement, events, and strategic partnerships. Additionally, the role requires maintaining accurate records in Salesforce to track activities and forecast sales.
Candidates should possess at least 3 years of full-cycle sales experience, including field sales, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets and closing complex deals. Essential qualifications include the ability to independently drive sales in a fast-paced environment, experience in business development activities such as cold calling, and proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM systems. Reliable transportation and residency within the West Palm Beach market are mandatory. Preferred qualifications include over 2 years of experience in payment processing or related technologies and at least 1 year of experience selling to restaurants, retailers, or service-based businesses.
Square offers a competitive compensation package, with salary ranges varying based on location. For Zone A locations, the salary range is $148,700 to $223,100, while for Zone D locations, it ranges from $123,400 to $185,200. These amounts include target variable compensation.
