The User Enablement Compliance Manager at Stripe serves as a critical bridge between the company's compliance obligations and the ambitious goals of its users, particularly within the crypto and stablecoin sectors. This role involves partnering closely with go-to-market and business teams during the pre-sales cycle to identify regulatory challenges early and design compliant solutions that align with Stripe's risk appetite. The manager acts as a specialized advisor in complex user negotiations, explaining intricate regulatory requirements with authority and empathy. Additionally, they collaborate with users and internal teams to architect processes—such as funds flow, data collection, and API integration—that meet compliance obligations while minimizing friction.

Key responsibilities include conducting risk-based reviews of non-standard crypto business models to ensure policy adherence, analyzing complex edge cases to distinguish between unfamiliar and unsafe scenarios, and aggregating insights from user interactions to identify areas for policy or product enhancement. The role also requires close liaison with Regional Compliance Officers and Money Laundering Reporting Officers to support the execution of compliance oversight programs.

Candidates should have over five years of experience in financial crimes compliance, with significant time spent in the crypto and stablecoin space. They must possess a working knowledge of crypto regulatory frameworks and standard AML/sanction practices, along with strong written and verbal communication skills to translate complex compliance concepts into clear, commercial language for various stakeholders. Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment are essential. Preferred qualifications include certifications such as CAMS or CRCM, experience in a hyper-growth tech or fintech environment, and familiarity with SQL or on-chain analysis tools.
