V&V Test Engineer
The V&V Test Engineer at Applied Intuition will focus on evaluating the performance of autonomous driving systems at both the system and module levels. This role is integral to the company's mission of advancing autonomous vehicle technology, particularly in the L4 trucking sector. The engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the safety and reliability of autonomy features.
Key responsibilities include developing and executing validation strategies for autonomy modules such as perception, planning, prediction, and localization. The engineer will build diverse datasets from simulations and real-world data, work with systems engineering teams to create comprehensive validation test plans, and develop statistical and machine learning models to analyze data for safety performance evaluations. Additionally, the role involves identifying and measuring performance metrics, building frameworks for metric generation, and supporting the generation of safety cases and release recommendation reports.
Candidates should possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in ADAS or autonomous driving, along with a bachelor's or master's degree in Robotics, Aerospace, Computer Science, or a related field. Essential skills include experience with autonomous systems and robotics, knowledge of automotive industry standards such as ISO 26262, ISO 21448, and UL4600, understanding of ADAS/AV system architecture, and proficiency with scripting and simulation tools. Strong collaboration skills are also crucial for this role.
