Vendor Onboarding Specialist

Stripe is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join its Global Procurement Enablement team as a Vendor Onboarding Specialist. In this role, you will manage the end-to-end vendor onboarding process, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected and verified. You will develop and maintain vendor profiles in our system, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations, specifically 1099 and 1042 requirements, by reviewing and validating W-9 forms and other tax-related documents to determine the appropriate withholding and reporting obligations.

The Vendor Onboarding Specialist will collaborate with vendors to resolve any discrepancies related to tax forms or onboarding documents and work closely with the Accounts Payable team to streamline processes and improve vendor onboarding efficiency. You will also collaborate with tax and legal departments to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, identify opportunities for process improvements, and implement best practices to enhance the vendor onboarding experience. Additional responsibilities include assisting in the development and maintenance of onboarding procedures and guidelines, generating and analyzing reports related to vendor onboarding, tax documents, and compliance, and providing insights and recommendations to management based on data analysis.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of relevant experience in procurement, preferably in a high-growth technology or financial services company. Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail, strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with vendors and internal teams, and proficiency in financial software and ERP systems, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word), are essential. The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment is also required.
