Vice President, Space Systems Software
The Vice President, Space Systems Software will lead Rocket Lab's satellite flight and ground software organization, driving strategy execution, revenue growth, operational excellence, and innovation. This role involves overseeing growth strategy, product development, program execution, team leadership, and financial performance, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals.
Key responsibilities include developing and executing strategic plans to achieve revenue growth and market expansion, identifying emerging market trends and customer needs, and collaborating with executive leadership to align business unit goals with the company's vision. The VP will also drive business development efforts, oversee the development and delivery of innovative satellite software solutions, and ensure operational efficiency through resource allocation and process optimization.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in business, engineering, computer science, or a related field, along with over 12 years of leadership experience focusing on business development, strategy execution, and revenue growth in software products. Proven experience leading software businesses, preferably in the aerospace or satellite industries, is essential. U.S. citizenship is required due to program requirements, and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance is necessary.
Compensation for this role includes a base salary ranging from $210,000 to $300,000, with potential eligibility for company stock, cash incentives, and participation in Rocket Lab's Employee Stock Purchase Program.
