Wire Bonding Technician
Anduril Industries is seeking a Wire Bonding Technician to join their team in Lexington, Massachusetts. This role involves collaborating with engineers in a cleanroom environment to package and assemble custom infrared image sensors, contributing to the company's mission of transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology.
Key responsibilities include handling and testing silicon wafers using automated probe test stations, mounting and wire bonding image sensors into custom ceramic packages with a wire ball bonder, and performing visual and electrical inspections of fully packaged sensor chip assemblies. The technician will also install sensor chip assemblies into liquid nitrogen high vacuum test stations and operate custom test equipment to collect image data using automated tools.
Candidates should have experience working with precision test and measurement equipment for development or production hardware, collecting data from devices under test using test and inspection equipment, and handling delicate hardware such as microelectronics assemblies requiring ultra-fine motor skills. Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance is required.
Preferred qualifications include prior experience working within a cleanroom environment, experience with microelectronics packaging such as wire bonders, experience with electrical cabling assemblies, soldering, crimping, and debugging, as well as proficiency with SolidWorks and scripting/automation languages like MATLAB, Python, or LabVIEW.
The salary range for this position is $86,000 to $114,000 per year, with highly competitive equity grants included in the majority of full-time offers.
