As a Workshop & Repair Manager at Applied Intuition's Tokyo office, you will oversee vehicle repair operations and manage workshop facilities. This role involves coordinating repairs with internal teams and third-party vendors, as well as handling equipment procurement and inventory management. Your efforts will ensure the organization of the facility, maintenance of service records, and effective communication with cross-functional teams to maintain fleet readiness and safety.

Key responsibilities include maintaining a safe and efficient workshop environment by procuring and managing necessary tools and equipment. You will collaborate with the Fleet Management team to schedule repairs, monitor vehicle statuses across multiple locations, and minimize downtime. Additionally, you will manage the entire parts lifecycle, from sourcing and inventory tracking to ensuring the availability of critical components. Liaising with third-party vendors for routine services and specialized repairs, handling negotiations, managing procurement payments, and overseeing vendor performance are also essential aspects of this role. Ensuring timely and accurate completion of service requests, work orders, and maintenance logs, as well as monitoring service metrics to identify and implement improvements, are key duties.

The ideal candidate will have over three years of experience as a Service Manager, Service Advisor, or Parts Advisor in an automotive workshop or dealership environment. Experience in warehouse or workshop facility management, including inventory control and equipment procurement, is essential. A safety-first mindset, meticulous attention to operational detail and documentation, and comfort working in a dynamic, fast-paced technical environment using dashboards, logs, and internal tools are required. Strong negotiation and organizational skills, with the ability to manage third-party vendors and internal stakeholders under time-sensitive conditions, are also necessary. Proficiency in Japanese at a native level and conversational English are required.
